Adam's five fan fiction links

My links are

Resident Evil is a great movie with a great story line. Alice is the main character who is trying to safe humans from extinction from a blo-weapon that is secretly developed by world's biggest evil organisation The Umbrella Corporation, anyone who is effected by this virus will turn into an undead and feeds on living creatures.

In this fan-fiction story, author brings reader back into time and uses narrative technique to tell a chronological story. Which I think is a really impressive piece of work simply because it explains the setting and language techniques to show the seriousness of the situation which they are in. Which straight away catches reader attentions, wanting to find out what would happen next in the story anxiously.

2: Avatar

In the movie "Avatar" Jake Sully took his mission on the World of Pandora. His mind was then transferred into a native humanoid called “Navi”, which he felt amazing because he is able to walk and run again in Navi’s body, as he was on a wheel chair due to his disabled legs.
Soon he found out the corporation who is running the whole program in Pandora want to drive the native’s out of their home for their own greed, Jake then turned his back on the corporation and is fighting back with the natives using the body of a Navi.

In this fan fiction story, I noticed this is the only once out of my five links that the author has written the disclaimer on top.
I didn’t really like this fan fiction story, because author has recreated all the characters which made me hard to understand what was going on. It is not a continue of the actual movie and the storyline is similarly alike, author also spent too much time on the background information to introduce each character which boards me as story did not jump into action until far back.
Author uses flash back technique to start his story to introduce his characters which I think it’s a great technique that I might use in my Fan fiction. Again, author spent too long on introduction using flash back, which is not what the main story is about, so I think it is unnecessary to be too descriptive on his introductions. As he can maybe add some details in the middle of the story as in carries on.

Warcraft is a real time strategy game created by Blizzard, its story is based on fantasy through mythology. There is six race in this game, Human, Night elves, Undead, Orc, Blood elves and Demons.

In this fan fiction, it talks about the relationship between Jaina and prince Arthas. Were author has continued his fan fiction after the original story; Arthas was controlled by the wipers in his head through his icy blade (frostmourne). He was once a human prince, fighting back the Undead. But due to his ambition, he dropped his great maul for exchange of frostmourne, wanting power to defeat his big time enemy Undead. He was then killed by the human Heroes in the story, but in this fan fiction. He was saved by his lover Jaina, she is a power mage that is expert in use of ice and fire spells. This story continues where Jaina noticed there is still some human within Arthas and teleported him back to her room.
I noticed something very important from this piece of work, as it gives me an idea of what I wanted to write for my fan fiction, Thor. Similar to Warcraft, Thor is an action movie; they both contain actions and imaginations that attract teenagers. I really like the way how author has described the actions in this FF, it attracts me in my first site and also evokes reader’s imaginations.

4: Thor

Thor, a thunder god warrior who was sent to Earth by his father Odin. It is there, he found his love and learnt lessons needed for his arrogance behavior back in Asgard. He then regains his god power and used it to fight back his brother Loki, who betrayed him.

In this FF story, I liked how author writes a brief outline of the story. It gives reader an idea what the story is based on and whether or not it interest them, wanting to find out what happens to Thor for his own actions. Brief outline of the story by author “Words like Thor’s were to be the end of him. Words like Thor’s would give him hope. Hope was something he was never to have, so why did he long after it so much? Brotherly love, nothing more.” which creates mysteries feeling through readers’, that I really like, and might use it in my own FF story.

Edward Scissorhands was my old time favorite when I was still a child, Edward is invented by a inventor who lives in a castle up on top of the hill. Edward’s creator died before he could finish Edward in complete, leaving him with scissors hands. He lives on top of the hill alone until one day, a young woman called Peg invited him into her own house.

Again, in this FF. Author written a brief outline of the story to clear out all the confusions “Set after movie. When newcomer lucy Monet and her family moved into the neighborhood where it all started, she takes an immediate liking to the strange mansion at the top of the hill. What happens when she meets it’s only inhabitant?”. This made me realized how important it is to have a clear and simple opening which gives an idea of the story outline, as it attracts readers attention without exposing the details. Another is how author uses rhetorical question to sting readers’ mind, allowing them to imagine how the story ends.
